When you meet a new person, you don’t start by announcing your housing status, right? So why are those who live on the streets identified by their housing status of being “homeless”? Ashley Sagan explores the power of sport and soccer to take away stigma and stereotype and help build community with those who experience homelessness.
Originally from Calgary, Ashley is a former graduate of UBCO with a degree in Human Kinetics. During her spare time, Ashley can be found outdoors, whether kayaking, fishing, or coaching the Kelowna Kodiaks!
