BMW announced plans to install about 100 electric vehicle charging stations at national parks across the United States.
The first station is already online at the Thomas Edison National Historical Park in New Jersey.
The site is both the home and laboratory of the esteemed inventor.
The German automaker has partnered with National Park Foundation, National Park Service and the Department of Energy to determine the locations.
The charging stations are part of the Energy Department’s Clean Cities Program, to develop sustainable transportation solutions.
